Award-winning South West housebuilder, Burrington Estates New Homes, has today announced the acquisition of land in Ashill, Ilminster, Somerset, on which the company has outline planning permission for 25 new homes.

Burrington Estates has gained an unprecedented reputation for quality house building with exceptional quality and specification in all of their new homes. Last year the developer added to its extensive Devon and Cornwall portfolio with a new site in Dorset and now this acquisition sees Burrington Estates New Homes make an exciting move into Somerset for the first time too.

Grayham Tucker, Operations Director for Burrington Estates New Homes, comments:

“We are really pleased to have acquired the site in Ashill and are excited to begin building our luxury homes in Somerset.”

Ashill is a small and charming Somerset village, with an enviable position just seven miles from Taunton, and three miles from Ilminster with good connections to the M5, A30 and A303.

Marking their fifteenth scheme since the company’s inception in 2016, the housebuilder states their commitment to build more new homes in the region demonstrates continued confidence, and success, in the property market despite uncertain economic times.

Burrington Estates will meet demand for high-specification modern homes with open-plan living by building 25 three- and four-bedroom homes in Ashill. A number of schemes will be available to assist home buyers, including Part Exchange and Assisted Move. Additionally, nine of the new homes will be affordable housing.

“We have been encouraged by the volume of enquires across the board for our new homes since lockdown measures have been relaxed, but particularly for schemes located in more rural or coastal locations,” said Grayham Tucker, Operations Director.

Work is expected to start on the Ashill site in March 2021 with further details to be announced via www.burringtonestates.com in due course.
