Burrington Estates New Homes, an award-winning property developer, has been granted full planning permission to create a small collection of highly desirable residential homes off Post Hill, Tiverton.

Helping to contribute towards the delivery of the council’s Tiverton Eastern Urban Extension plans, work is set to begin at Highwood Gardens starting this December, where they will be creating 18 new homes, with affordable homes included in the scheme. The site forms part of the former NHS outpatient facility which requires the demolition of a small number of dilapidated buildings, the developer has agreed careful preservation of the plaque from the old hospital building which it will be donating to the Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life.

The South West developer has gained a reputation for quality house building and Burrington Estates New Homes promises to bring the same attention to detail as with all of its other sites located throughout Devon, Cornwall and Dorset.

The 2.47-acre plot will be transformed to offer a collection of three, four and five-bedroom homes, many will feature single or double garages, landscaped gardens, luxury fitted kitchens and bathrooms, along with smart technology within the home as well as a number of homes providing vehicle charging points.

Grayham Tucker, Operations Director for Burrington Estates New Homes, comments: “We are really pleased to be acquiring this site as it is in a great location, with easy transportation links plus the homeowners will also benefit from much of the site having a mature tree-lined boundary.”

Grayham continues, “With both Blundell’s and Uffculme School within easy reach, we are already experiencing high levels of enquires for the new homes.” Tiverton itself is a delightful Devon countryside town, full of a range of both high street and independent retailers, set on the banks of the Grand Western Canal.

Burrington Estates New Homes, who have new home developments in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset, is delighted to add Tiverton to their expanding portfolio. As with each development Burrington Estates New Homes undertake, each home created will benefit from exceptional quality and specification throughout. Including careful consideration when redeveloping land for the number of protected trees on the site, and the environmental charter in place, sets out they will instigate or support at least one environmental activity for this development. In addition, they have committed to providing a financial contribution to Devon County Council Education, estimated to be in excess of £100k, which will go towards primary education and Phase 1 of the refurbishment of Amory Park, Tiverton.
