Plymouth City Council has granted planning permission for the creation of 14 new luxury homes on the former site of Colebrook House in Plympton.
Following discussions with the planning committee, a recommendation to approve from officers of Plymouth City Council and local councillors, and input from ward members and the general public, planning permission was awarded for the collection of four bed family homes and the award-winning property developer will begin work on its latest development in the city – called Mayhew Gardens – this Autumn.
The name of the new development takes its inspiration from the Mayhew family who were responsible for the expansion of Colebrook village in the 19th century.
The intimate housing development will have a mix of exterior slate and stone work. Burrington Estates states its premium fixtures and fittings will feature throughout the new homes, which includes British-designed kitchens with integrated appliances, luxury fitted carpets and oak veneer doors. The new homes will also have the provision for Solar PV.
We are committed to ensuring minimum disruption to the community throughout the build programme, Burrington Estates will create an pedestrian access walkway from Colebrook Lane to Newnham Road. Part of the existing wall surrounding the site will be removed to allow for a road access point from Colebrook Lane.
