A semi-rural setting, the site is situated on the edge of the small Dartmoor town of Buckfastleigh, and lies in easy reach of thriving Ashburton and the charming market town of Totnes. Dartmoor attractions including Haytor Rock, Buckfast Abbey and South Devon Steam Railway are also just a few miles away. Benefitting from excellent travel links, the site is only 1.5 miles from the A38 Devon Expressway which connects the nearby cities of Plymouth (22 miles) and Exeter (23 miles).

We would like to take the opportunity to receive initial thoughts from the surrounding community of the site, which has been identified by Dartmoor National Park Authority for residential development within the Dartmoor National Park Development Management and Delivery Plan Document (2013) under policy BCK2.
This survey is the first step for the community to let us know more about their aspirations, concerns and thoughts for Buckfastleigh and the forthcoming proposed residential development. Further input will be sought from stakeholders such as the Town Council and Dartmoor National Park as designs evolve over the coming months.
