Peter Andrew has a wealth of house building industry experience and an in-depth understanding of the issues affecting house builders. Peter – a Chartered Surveyor, started life as a trainee Quantity Surveyor at George Wimpey and during a career spanning 40 years progressed to become the UK Land and Planning Director - and a board member - at national housebuilder Taylor Wimpey UK.

Since stepping down from TW in 2015 he served as deputy Chairman of the Home Building Federation for 5 years until June 2020. A role that put him at the heart of the industry and house building policy making with Government and other influencing organisations. He was also one of the four practitioners who helped draft the first National Planning Policy Framework in 2011/12 for the then Planning Minister Greg Clark. He was awarded an MBE in the 2018 New Year’s Honours for ‘services to construction’ in recognition for this work.

As well as his role as Chairman of Burrington Estates, Peter is also a Council member of the NHBC, Chairman of the Corserv Group of Companies – Cornwall Council’s wholly owned arms-length companies, Chairman of proptec company Twindig, Chairman of the Dorchester Group - a housing and place-making company and non executive director of Fibre Limited – a broadband provider.

Our ethos is to put our customers at the heart of all that we do. It sounds like a cliché but if we look at everything from our customers' perspective we will get it right for them. It starts with choice of site and our designs, and runs like a golden threat through our organisation to ensure our customer has the best experience possible
