Project Description

“Creating a hydro-powered, small Devon town in a stunning gorge”

Operating as a mill since 1555, Stowford Mill in Ivybridge is one of Devon’s oldest industrial sites. First a corn mill, the site soon became a hub for the manufacture of paper and has served as a long-established paper mill for more than 200 years.

Burrington Estates’ vision is to transform this eight-acre site, which sits in a beautiful location in the Erme Valley and is framed by Dartmoor National Park and Brunel’s Great Western Railway, into a beautiful, eclectic, mixed-use development.

Burrington Estates has purchased this site in a joint venture with Pillar Land Securities. The team is currently consulting extensively with all local stakeholders to design the most appropriate scheme for the community.
